Corkcomfort Identity Nightshade
The Nezu Museum, one of Tokyo's most respected museums, reopened in October with a surprising look after being closed for reconstruction for several years.
The building designed by the Japanese architect KumaKengo takes its inspiration from the traditional Japanese concept of harmony, using materials that are carefully matched in equilibrium with nature. Large windows in the museum's entrance area and central hall reveal the magnificent outside gardens and flood the space with light. The floor, covered with the Personality Nightshade tone of the Corkcomfort collection, creates the acoustic and visual tranquillity sought by the architect and the museum's manager.
